Cheltenham Spa is a very well served train station with direct trains to London Paddington operated by First Great Western, direct trains to Birmingham, Leeds, York, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, and Plymouth operated by Virgin, and the towns and cities between Cardiff and Nottingham with Central Trains.
For example, there are trains to Birmingham every 15-20 minutes throughout the day with a journey time of around 45 minutes, and (with 1 change) there are trains to London Paddington approximately every 30 minutes.

Cheltenham Spa Train Station ticket office is open daily from 5.45am-8.15pm, with shorter hours of 5.45am-7.15pm, and 8.15am-8.15pm on Saturdays and Sundays respectively.
