Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum is located just a few minutes walk from the shopping centre of Cheltenham and the central bus station.
A wide range of permanent collections are located at the museum and art gallery. These include local history, archaeology, arts and crafts, paintings, and unusual objects. A collection on the Antarctic explorer from Cheltenham, Edward Wilson (who died with Scott) is also located here. Frequently changed exhibitions are also very popular.

Visiting the Art Gallery and Museum
Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum is open every day except bank holidays, but including Sundays. It is open 10am-5pm from April through to October and from 10am-4pm the rest of the year. On the first Thursday of each month it opens one hour late at 11am, but no the third Thursday of each month it remains open until 8pm.Admission is completely free of charge although donations are of course very welcome.
